Cobb County Rodeo
June 22, 2003 Marietta Daily Journal Sonya Shell, local Marietta pop-country singer songwriter, performed for the Cobb County Rodeo Friday and Saturday. This is the first time the Cobb Rodeo has had live entertainment as part of the event in many years. Ms. Shell has been performing in the Atlanta area for the last six years. As the part of the event, she sang several of her own original songs from recently released CD "Still in Love." as well as some popular familiar country tunes. Sonya performed at the Paulding County Republican Party Rally, singing some Patsy Cline, Mary Chapin Carpenter tunes along with several originals from her new CD, "Still in Love." Governor Elect, Sonny Perdue thanked Sonya for sharing her talent.
